The future is in the past, or in the future
The video in my last post reminded me of a few cool things going on at SIGGRAPH:
Microsofties were out in force, as ever, presenting an image deblurring technique:
(Yeah the guy sounds bored…interesting to see how they do it though)
Video: MS image deblurring
And (this is sweet!):

(It’s pretty clear what’s going on)
Thanks Luke for sending this over by some random dude:
Now is the long boring wait until all this gets productised, if ever…
A little tip
Being Asian I eat a lot of curry (no I’m not being sarcastically stereotypical, or even stereotypically sarcastic). Being human I cough sometimes. Sometimes if you cough right after a spicy curry, sometimes you get a burning sensation in your throat.
So before you let out a throaty yelp of “Watar! Wataar!”, spilling all manner of things as you swing around your arm madly grasping for water, yet only finding the 13 extra mango chutneys you foolishly ordered, STOP, breathe through your nose harshly (like when you have a runny nose but no tissues available so you suck it back in) and swallow. Why? The mucus in your nose is actually very soothing and the burning should go down quickly. Do it a few times more and you should be able to get back to perusing the dessert menu for that freshly made (honest!) kulfi.
It ’s slightly sickening, but it needed to be said.
